Pre-Occupational Therapy
This pattern is designed to prepare a student for admission into a graduate program in Occupational Therapy. Students are required to complete a 200-hour clinical experience practicum. Course work includes human anatomy, courses in manual manipulation, kinesiology, and psychology. To be a viable candidate for admission to a graduate program in occupational therapy, a student should maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Graduate admission is generally granted to students with a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Pre-Occupational Therapy Pattern: 22-23 Credit Hours
PHYS 100 or PHYS 185 should be taken to complete the Physical Science Mode of Inquiry.
- CHEM 100 - Chemistry for Contemporary Living Credits: 4 hours
- OR
- CHEM 120 - Chemical Principles I Credits: 5 hours
- HLTH 250 - Public Health Practicum I Credits: 1-3 hours
- HLTH 321 - Seminar in Graduate School Admissions Credits: 1 hour
- OR
- HLTH 322 - Seminar in Graduate Job Searching Credits: 1 hour
- PSYC 366 - Psychology of Abnormal Behavior Credits: 3 hours
- PSYC 377 - Developmental Psychology Credits: 3 hours
Select at least 3 of the following 4 courses:
- ES 342 - Concepts of Biomechanics with Lab Credits: 4 hours
- ES 343 - Movement Neuroscience with Lab Credits: 3 hours
- ES 345 - Exercise Physiology Credits: 3 hours
- ES 445 - Assessment and Prescription I Credits: 4 hours
