What is the Health Studies Minor?
The Health and Exercise Sciences Program offers a limited number of students the opportunity to minor in Health Studies. The intent of the Health Studies minor is to allow additional exploration in topics related to human health and well-being. This minor may enhance personal growth and/or be related to interest areas after graduation.
Students must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be considered for the Health Studies minor:
Transfer students who have successfully completed an Associate of Art or Science Degrees will still need to complete STAT 190 Basic Statistics or higher and HLTH 195/196 or MS 100/101 with a grade of "C" or higher; this requirement will not be waived in the Health Studies Minor as it is for the Liberal Studies Program (LSP).
Requirements of the Health Studies Minor
The Health Studies Minor requires the successful completion of 15 semester hours of Health & Exercise Sciences courses from the categories below: Group One, Group Two, and Unrestricted Electives.

Application
Interested students will need to apply for and be admitted to the minor. Each applicant will need to complete the Health Studies Minor Application. Applications should be submitted through this website.
