Welcome to the Pershing Building Reservation Website. Here you can submit and cancel reservation requests through EMS. Several facilities are available for chartered campus organization and university department use, including Pershing Arena, Small Gym, Dance Studio, and six classrooms. Any person making a reservation for the use of facilities in Pershing Building should read the Pershing Usage Policies (see link below). Please remember that your reservation request is not approved until you receive a confirmation.
PLEASE NOTE: All Pershing reservations will be requested through EMS (emspro.truman.edu). These include: PB130 (small gym), PB225 (dance studio), PB231, PB232, PB233, PB234, PB3102, and PB3104. Pershing Arena reservations will be confirmed through Megan Wargo-Kearney, Athletics at mwargo@truman.edu.
Pershing Building hours are 5:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m.-12:00 midnight Saturdays and Sundays. Building lock-down will occur at 12:00 midnight; organizations will not be permitted to begin an event after 10:00 p.m.. Any organization whose reservation extends after 12:00 midnight must vacate the building by 12:30 a.m., unless special permission has been granted through the appropriate office (Athletics or HES) for an overnight event.
Organizations attempting to reserve Pershing Arena should be specifically aware of the following policy regarding priority usage:
All reservations by Chartered Campus Organizations, Divisions or Departments may be cancelled if circumstances (i.e. weather) force higher priority groups to move their activity into the requested area. Athletics and HES have until noon on the day in question to decide to move their activity into the facility.
Groups with reservations that are affected by the priority system should secure a back-up location and understand their reservation may be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Those groups will be promptly notified if their reservation is being cancelled.
As of March, 2012, there is a limit of three practices and/or meetings that any organization can have in one week. The only exceptions to this rule are the University Showgirls and the University Cheerleaders as they are required to perform at all home basketball games.
Organizations and users must read and agree to the Pershing Arena Usage Policies. Each organization must submit this form only once per calendar year.
